This image interests me due to the fact the dog on the pillow and the dog subject appear to be the same, this shows how loved the dog is within this home. Moreover, the expression on the dog's face and that on the cushion are similar, this creates continuity within the photograph and allows for the viewer to make comparisons between the two. The pastel colours in this image also compliment one another effectively, subsequently creating a cool tone throughout this photograph.
This image shows an interaction between the owner, and the dog. The way the dog appears to be looking up at its owner is significant, as it shows how the dog may 'look up' to its owner, and protect them. Furthermore, the smile shown on the owner's face again symbolises love and care between the two, this corresponds with the hand which is placed gently on the dog. The white top of the owner may symbolise innocence, implying that this owner is not abusive towards the dog, but intact extremely caring.
This photograph of the dog's paw is interesting as it's almost showing us the dog's identity, by displaying the pup's paw, which is almost like our fingerprints. Fingerprints and paws can be considered the same, as they are both linked to the 'hands' of the person/dog, therefore by exploring this dogs paw I believe that this will allow further comparisons to be made between this dog, and the ones I will photograph in my following shoots.
This image captured of the dog in her bed allows the viewer to deduce that this dog is the centre of it's owner's lives, due to the fact the dog appears to be seated in the front room, this allows the dog to socialise more with it's owners. This image will also be pivotal to explore with my other shoots, as this will allow the viewer to deduce where the dog's bed is placed.
The innocent look on this dogs face will create links in the viewer's mind between the dog's personality and that of the owner. The dog's chestnut eyes stand out from it's wispy coat, allowing the viewer to focus here. The eyes are often considered 'the portal to the soul', meaning that the viewer will feel a personal link by looking into the dogs eyes, this is significant as it humanises the dog.
The dog appears to be relaxed in this image due to the fact it's laying down calmly, meanwhile a toy is placed next to the dog; this toy indicates that despite the dog currently being calm and laying down, that it does have a more fun side. The cool colours in this image create a calm tone within the viewer also.
In this image the owner appears to be the most vibrant object in this photograph with the dog almost blending into the furniture, this symbolises how the dog has become part of the furniture in it's home, due to the fact it has lived there a long time and is now a member of the family. The white top that the owner is wearing symbolises innocence, as the colour white is often linked to doves, and innocence- this may be significant by implying that this owner is kind to their dog, and not abusive- this may also suggest that this dog was previously abused, and therefore this owner rescued it and was almost like an angel.
The dog appears to be alert in this image, this may imply how the dog it constantly alert for it's owner's safety- this is a demonstration of care and compassion from the dog. Moreover, the ball placed in front of the dog shows that the dog has a playful side, this therefore allows the viewer to deduce some of the dog's personality, and create links in their mind between this and possibly the owner's personality.
The bowls in this image allow the viewer to deduce if the dog is cared for sensitively, the bowls are clean which shows this dog is looked after well.
This image of the wellington boots and the dogs lead, and toy shows how this dog is well looked after and frequently walked, the muddy boots allow this denotation to occur, as they're clearly well-worn. The ball in this image also shows how this dog is playful, and active. The portrait frame of this image allows the length of the lead and ball thrower to be seen.
